Chelsea Harbour, Chelsea SW10
Chelsea Harbour is a contemporary mixed-use development located in Central London and situated on the north bank of the River Thames. It was built on the site of an ex-British Rail Coal Yard and Victorian-era railway coaling dock on the River Thames. The 20-acre site was the biggest single construction project in the United Kingdom for decades.
With apartments and penthouses spread across twelve buildings, this stylish development offers luxury riverside living with spectacular views across the River Thames and direct south-facing views over the marina. The apartments benefit from generous windows, balconies, secure underground car parking and onsite concierge services. Many of the apartments also have wood floors throughout and under-floor heating.
Designed by architects Moxley Jenner & Partners, and built by P&O & Globe Investment Trust through their subsidiary, Chelsea Harbour Ltd., the development is centred around a beautiful 50-berth yacht marina, and as such has a subtle nautical feel to it.
Chelsea Harbour is situated around the marina area in Chelsea, close to the well-known King’s Road area.
King’s Road is one of London’s most popular shopping locations and is home to a mix of department stores, designer shops, trendy boutiques and quirky independent stores. There is also a theatre, plus a few art studios and galleries – including the innovative Saatchi Gallery. Running parallel to the King’s Road is Fulham Road, which is home to exquisite antique and specialist interior furnishing stores. Sloane Street offers a first class selection of designer boutiques.
As you’d expect in this fashionable, cosmopolitan area there are plenty of high-quality restaurants, gastropubs, cafes and delicatessens to try. The Harwood, currently London's only Michelin starred pub is within walking distance. Nightlife is vibrant and busy, with swanky cocktail bars, cool music bars and the renowned 606 jazz club staying open well into the early hours. For a more laid-back atmosphere, head to the Chelsea Riverside Brasserie, at Chelsea Harbour, serving up classic brasserie dishes with a contemporary British twist. A short stroll up the river takes you to The Waterside, a friendly waterside pub with beautiful views across the river.
